Just a quick update - we're really looking forward to this week's show at the Mars Bar. We have two new songs that we're debuting, titled "Celebration" and "Rush". As usual, the Mars Bar has prepared some cool posters for the show. We're going to be playing along with Milk Maiden's Crawl & The Sterling Loons. We're also debuting some new gear! Tim's got his new bass guitar. And Mark will be showcasing his brand-new 50 year old Gibson amplifier!

A last second update of the website! We are playing TONIGHT, May 3rd, at The Comet Tavern in Capitol Hill. Michelle from The Comet contacted us yesterday with a fill-in request, and we are excited about making our way into a club we haven't played, so that's the story. Come at 9pm, and see us play from 10-11pm. It will be a lot of fun - we are playing along with Dateless, The Diets & The Twain.

Thank you to everyone who came to see us play last week at the High Dive. We had a spectacular turnout - in fact, we counted between 45 and 50 Wilgus fans! That sounds like the start of something. I'm not sure what... but something! This is just a quick update to tell you that we have set our next gig date for July 13th at the Mars Bar. Thanks to Matt Ashworth of NadaMucho for booking us once again!
While you are here, please be sure to check out the photos link for our latest performance shots. The gig photos at the High Dive were generously provided to us by Seattle photographer Debora Spencer. There are some amazing shots - I didn't know we could look THAT cool up there, but the camera sometimes plays flattering tricks! Thanks to Debora for capturing the show.

It's just 9 more days until the rebirth of Wilgus. We will kick off the year at the High Dive, one of the greatest rock clubs in Seattle. Looking forward to seeing you all there. Your support and attendance will be greatly appreciated!
In addition to breaking in our newest member, we also had a surprising and fortunate opportunity to head back into the studio last month to record demo versions of a handful of tunes. This resulted from the generosity of our friend Dan Doherty from Alki Recording, who asked us to "guinea pig" for him as he tried out some new recording techniques. The tracks came out very well, and as soon as we are done with overdubs and mixing, we will post them here and on our MySpace. So please check back often.
The poster for our upcoming High Dive show, which can be viewed by clicking the image above, was masterminded and then
foolishly fearlessly executed by the brilliant mind of local Seattle artist, Erik Sommargren. If you are interested in seeing more of his work, please contact us. If you are interested in NOT seeing more of his work, please feel free to submit your own poster ideas for future shows! We really will consider them! You could be America's Next Top Wilgus Poster Artist!
